Leaving WordPress? Here's What's Next.

WordPress powers a huge share of the web, and it's a reasonable tool for people who want to manage it. For most small business owners, it becomes a maintenance job they never signed up for.

Why People Leave

The Reasons We Hear Most

🔓

Security

Plugins and themes are the most common way small business sites get compromised. Every one you add is another door.

🔄

Constant updates

Core, theme, and plugin updates that break each other — and a site that goes down when you're not watching.

🐌

Speed

Page builders load enormous amounts of code to render pages a static site serves instantly.

💸

Creeping costs

Hosting, premium plugins, a security service, a backup service, and often a maintenance retainer on top.

🧩

Complexity you didn't want

Most owners just need pages that load fast and rank. They inherited a content management system instead.

🔧

Dependence

When something breaks, you need a developer. That's a phone call and an invoice every time.

What You Get Instead

A Static Site You Actually Own

We build hand-coded static websites — plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. No plugins to update, no database to get hacked, no platform that can change its pricing on you.

Hosting runs on Netlify's free tier, and when the project is done we transfer everything to your Netlify account. You own the code, the content, and the domain.

One payment of $995. No monthly website fee from us, ever.

What Moving Looks Like

1

We review your current site

What's worth keeping, what's dragging you down, and what your rankings look like now.

2

We rebuild it properly

Real pages for each city and service, schema markup, and a clean technical foundation.

3

We map your old URLs

Redirects from your existing addresses so you don't lose rankings or break links.

4

You take ownership

Everything transfers to your own account. Cancel your old subscription.

FAQ

Switching Questions

Will I lose my Google rankings?

Not if the move is done properly. We map redirects from every existing URL to its new address, so your rankings and any existing links carry over.

Can I still update my own content?

Static sites are edited in the code. For most small businesses that's a few changes a year, and we're happy to handle them. If you need to publish constantly, WordPress may genuinely suit you better — we'll tell you so.

What about my existing content and images?

It all comes across. We rebuild the pages properly rather than importing the old markup.

Is WordPress always the wrong choice?

No. If you run a blog with frequent posts or need multiple staff editing content, a CMS earns its keep. For a local service business with a handful of pages, it's overhead.

How long does the move take?

Most rebuilds are done in one to two weeks.

Done With WordPress?
